La Manga Club

La Manga Club can only be described as a sports enthusiast’s dream come true. Situated on the Costa Calida, the club has earned the reputation as being Europe’s top sports and leisure resort. With its choice of luxurious accommodation and unrivalled facilities, it’s possible to spend an entire holiday here without ever leaving the resort grounds. For visitors staying in Torrevieja, the La Manga Club makes for a wonderful day out that all the family will enjoy. The club lies slightly inland from the shores of the Mar Menor Lagoon. For those wishing to enjoy a round of golf, it is less than an hour’s drive from Torrevieja via the N-332 and AP-7 motorway.

La Manga Club Golf

So vast is the resort, it boasts three 18 hole golf courses as well as an 18 hole pitch & putt course. Players can warm up or improve their game at the Golf Practice Centre. Here you will find a driving range and various other practice facilities. For those who are keen on getting a few lessons, the club has a Golf Academy. This is run by renowned Swedish instructor Thomas Johansson and offers both individual and group lessons.

The superb main clubhouse has a modern Pro Shop selling a good selection of top brand clothing and accessories. There are comfortable lounges, terraces and a well stocked bar. Here you will also find the 37 Spike & Sports Bar. It offers an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a seating capacity for 97 diners. The West Course offers another restaurant.

North Course – With a par of 71 and total length of 5,755 metres, the North Course has tight fairways and large greens with tricky storm gullies (barancas) coming into play on some holes.

South Course – This has a par of 73 and total length of 6,499 metres with wider fairways than the North and water hazards coming into play on 15 of its holes.

West Course – With a par of 72 and total length of 5,714 metres, this course has challenging changes in elevation, several barancas on the front nine and numerous hills on the back nine.

Pitch & Putt – This super fun 18 hole pitch & putt was designed by the much loved pro golfer Severiano Ballesteros and is excellent for sharpening your short game.

La Manga Club Sports

The extensive facilities at La Manga Club include superb facilities for several other sports. These include football, tennis, cricket, rugby and triathlon. There are also dedicated academies for each of these sporting disciplines. Within the resort grounds and the surrounding areas, visitors can enjoy a variety of other sports and hobbies. These include horse riding, running, rambling, mountain biking and scuba diving. Just inquire at the main resort reception.

Football – Forming part of the Football Centre’s training and competition venue are eight natural grass FIFA standard football pitches.

Tennis – Visitors to La Manga Club who are keen on tennis will find one of Spain’s finest outdoor tennis facilities. This includes a 28 court Tennis Centre and the Tennis Academy.

Cricket – Within the resort visitors will find Spain’s best facility for training and playing cricket. The cricket grounds are the training venue for the Spanish National Cricket Team.

Rugby – The rugby training grounds at La Manga Club have played host to a number of top rugby union and league teams. These include the likes of Harlequins, Lenster and Munster.

Triathlon – La Manga Club is an excellent training destination for triathletes. Their facilities include a semi-Olympic indoor pool, various cycling routes and numerous running trails.

La Manga Club Resort

Within the resort visitors have a number of accommodation options. The five star Principe Felipe Hotel offers 192 well appointed guest rooms and suites. Here guests can enjoy extensive gardens and a large outdoor swimming pool. The pool’s terraces have ample sun loungers and parasols and there is a children’s playground nearby. A Junior Club is available for children up to 12 years. The hotel complex boasts several bars and restaurants, comfortable lounges and meeting rooms. The lobby offers two shops and there is a shuttle service around the resort.

The fantastic four star Las Lomas Village Aparthotel offers self contained accommodation to suit all tastes. For guests that don’t fancy catering for themselves, the aparthotel has all the services of a regular hotel. Within the landscaped gardens are two outdoor swimming pools. Each of these have a kids pool and next to the pools is a children’s playground. Completing the outdoor facilities is a multi-sport court and Junior Club. Within the complex visitors can enjoy several bars and restaurants. There are comfortable lounges and many services at reception.

La Manga Club Spa & Wellness Centre

The club’s superb spa & wellness centre is located in Las Lomas Village. Visitors staying at the hotel can use the complimentary shuttle service to get to the centre. A central feature of the spa is its multi-functional pool. This boasts swan neck fountains, underwater massage jets and hydro-massage beds. There is also a relaxation room, steam room, Jacuzzi, cold water plunge pool and 13 treatment rooms. Taking centre stage in the Fitness Centre is a 25 metre indoor swimming pool. The centre is equipped with the most advanced training facilities supplied by Technogym. Personal and group instructors offer a variety fitness and swimming classes.
