Las Colinas Golf Club
Las Colinas Golf Club has recently been rated by Golf World as being one of the top 100 courses in Continental Europe. Further to that, in 2015 and 2016 it was rated as Spain’s Best Golf Course. To give it its full name, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is located just a short drive from Torrevieja in neighbouring Orihuela Costa. Players visiting the area will find a further three 18 hole courses within 10 minutes drive from Las Colinas. With some of the best Blue Flag Award beaches on the Costa Blanca, the area is the perfect place to visit for families.
Las Colinas Golf Club Course
The course and country club is set in 200,000 square metres of beautiful pine forest, orange and lemon groves, with pleasant nature trails interspersed among its rolling green hills. The 18 hole par 71 championship course is managed by Troon Golf, the world leader in golf course management. Designed by world renowned landscape architect Cabell B. Robinson, the course presents a challenge for players of all experience levels. It features generous fairways, many undulating greens and numerous tee positions to give it greater versatility.
Las Colinas Golf Club Academy
Additional facilities at Las Colinas Golf Club include a natural grass driving range, approach area and putting green. The club’s academy is directed by PGA professional Robert Mitchell and receives excellent reviews. Combining the course facilities with the latest high speed video analysis technology, the academy provides coaching for golfers of all ages and abilities. They offer half, full, two and three day coaching retreats as well as individual and group lessons.
Las Colinas Golf Club Facilities
In addition to the academy and golf facilities, visitors can also enjoy tennis. There are two clay tennis courts, one artificial grass tennis court and a paddle tennis court. Individual and group lessons are also available. Overlooking the courts is a state of the art gymnasium with floor to ceiling windows. It also overlooks the children’s playground, handy to keep an eye on the young ones while you enjoy a workout. Surrounding the course grounds and making its way through beautiful countryside is a mountain bike circuit of 4,500 metres.
Las Colinas Golf Club House
The sprawling Mediterranean style clubhouse is located close to the 18th hole and practice facilities. The clubhouse boasts wonderful decor and comfortable lounges and outdoor terraces. There is a choice of two delightful dining experiences. UniK Café boasts indoor seating for up to 30 people and further seating on its large terrace. It offers a good variety of a la carte meals throughout the day. Visitors can also enjoy an international breakfast to boost the energy before heading out for a round of golf. Enso Sushi Bar delights the palate with southeast Asia’s finest cuisine. Aside from beautifully presented sushi, the chefs also create superb sashimi.
Villamartin Golf Club
Villamartin Golf Club has been challenging players since its inauguration in 1972. The course was constructed by the aptly named Mr. Putmann and hosted the 1994 Mediterranean Open.
