Playa de la Mata Beach, Torrevieja

Playa de la Mata (South) is probably the most perfect beach of them all for a full day out on the beach. At 2,500 meters long and 30 meters wide it is huge! Its beautiful golden sand is ideal for sunbathing, playing with a bucket and spade or going for long beach strolls. It has been awarded the Blue Flag and also the Qualitur Award. It is kept impeccably clean and has Life Guards for safety. It has the basic services such as toilets and foot showers but also many extras such as the 14 beach bars, volleyball pitches, and a football pitch. There are umbrella and sun lounger rentals, and if you like to be a bit more active then you can even rent a pedalo. There is a kids play area and a number of access ramps.

El Cura

El Cura (also known as Playa de Cura) has very fine golden sand and is 500 meters in length. It runs right along the water front of Torrevieja and is probably the most urban beach out of them all, therefore can get very busy, especially during the summer months.
