Transport in Torrevieja

Torrevieja Airport doesn’t exist but you’re in luck as the area has 2 airports close by that service the UK and Irish Holiday market with the majority of low cost airlines scheduling regular flights. Alicante Airport is the biggest Airport to the north of Torrevieja with flights from many European destinations. Murcia-San Javier Airport to the south of Torrevieja is very small in comparison to Alicante, very, very small LOL but makes it a fantastic Airport to get out of quickly and on your way to enjoy your Holiday. (more information)

Buses are very cheap but the services in town are not very holiday maker friendly, but it’s worth working them out (we will help you) even if you use them one way and get a Taxi back it can save you a few euro’s and give you more freedom to ditch the hire car and get about. Bus services are also available from both airports. (more information)

Car Hire

Car Hire is clearly best researched when in your home country months ahead of your holiday, ideally if you’re visiting during a peak time you should book it ASAP for the cheapest prices. You have loads of choice in both airports and also in town if your only planning to get a car for a few days for some day trips and would rather get a transfer back and forth to the airport. (more information)

Taxis from the Airport to Torrevieja can be pre-booked with a local firm who will come out and pick you up or you can get one at the Airport. Taxis in town can be found at official ranks, you can phone many who have English speaking staff and you can book some online, but normally you need to give notice for the online service. (more information)
