Founded in 1973 and located in the Los Balcones Urbanization 5kms from the city centre, the tennis club boasts 6 clay courts and 2 hard courts. For those wishing to improve their game, coaching lessons run by qualified instructors may also be booked at reasonable prices.
Sessions and coaching are also available in the beautiful surrounds of Campoamor golf club, located 10kms from Torrevieja in the Orihuela Costa area. Other options include Torrevieja sports city which has 10 training hard surface courts as well as a central competition court. Excellent tennis courts may also be found at Guardamar sports centre, north of La Mata.
South of Torrevieja, in the popular holiday resort of Orihuela Costa, free municipal courts are available to the public in Quesada. In the same region, Cabo Roig Club has four hard courts for hire. The upmarket Orihuela Costa Resort also has superb tennis facilities available to it’s guests.
A court will be found behind the walls and gates of just about every private ‘gated community’ in this region. Many privately owned villas in the residential areas surrounding Torrevieja also boast a tennis court within the grounds.
