Spain is an extremely popular holiday destination, especially in the Costa Blanca area. Its airports see very large numbers of holidaymakers particularly in the summer months. The two main airports close to Torrevieja, servicing the Costa Blanca area from the UK and Ireland are, Alicante Airport to the north of Torrevieja and the smaller Murcia-San Javier Airport to the south of Torrevieja.
